The wheel of the year and each of its eight festivals, provides a much needed opportunity to pause and be awake to ourselves and the cycle of the seasons. Following the seasons in this way can help us to live in more harmony with nature. It encourages to PAUSE every six weeks, take stock of our lives and realign to whats important to us. We get to spend time outside, noticing the rich bounty each season brings. We feel appreciation and gratitude for the earth, all the elements and how we share a symbiotic relationship with each one. In this process of gentle noticing and immersing our senses we rebalance and are restored by nature on some level. Forest Bathers will have experienced this healing. Following the wheel of the year give us opportunities for continuous renewal and the joy of nature connection.
Imbolc is a great time for starting new things, recommitting to self care, letting go of what’s toxic in your life, clearing out any remaining clutter and making way for the new growth in our lives. You may like to spend some time journalling about the buds that are already starting to appear in your life and what you want this year to look like.
Finding time for daily mindful moments can help our day to day wellbeing. I’ve attached an easy step by step guide that you can incorporate into your daily life. I like to do my mindful moments this first thing in the morning and evening time but this can be anytime that works for you. The more you do it the better it gets.
