Meditation and Mindfulness

There are many good reasons to start meditation and these are a few of them:

  • Meditation helps us to navigate life better, we become more resilient to stress and anxiety.
  • More aware of mental habits, rumination, negative mind chatter.
  • It encourages self care, we are kinder to ourselves, more compassionate.
  • It helps us clear information overload which contributes to overwhelm and stress.
  • It gives us clarity, supports increased concentration and focus.
  • It’s like taking your brain to the gym. Scientific research has shown regular meditators have increased cortical thickness in areas of the brain which govern learning, memory, self awareness and self regulation.
  • Meditation can help soothe the amygdala, the brains alarm clock to stress and fear.
  • It helps us stay younger.

As well as the above, meditation is a workout for your brain that has potential to change your brain structure. A regular practice can help you start to rewire your brain through a process called neuroplasticity.

Courses and coaching

In my sessions you will learn more about the science which encourages you to keep practising and just trust the process. Rediscovering simple pleasures with a beginners mind can bring more joy and fulfilment into your life. I really enjoy teaching the science of meditation in my sessions, in my own experience understanding the science encouraged me to keep practising and not give up. Within a few weeks the benefits are really being felt and it can become a life changing support system that is always on tap.

Mindfulness of Nature and the Seasons (private sessions) - £55

Join me for one-to-one mindfulness in nature sessions on private land near Henfield, West Sussex. A chance to pause and sit with the seasons, discovering more about the natural world and ourselves through guided mindfulness and meditation. (Includes gentle walking)
